SDFM Community Service Volunteer Opportunity
What: Annual Columbus Marathon Race
It takes thousands of volunteers working together to create a world-class event like the annual Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon & ½ Marathon. Join the SDFM Buckeye Chapter this year and together we can help make a difference in our community!
When: Volunteer opportunities begin on Friday, October 17th and continue through Sunday, October 19th.
Where: Friday and Saturday will mostly be at the Columbus Convention Center to assist in providing the runners with their t-shirts and packets when they show up at the Expo. Sunday is RACE DAY – for this event, volunteers are needed both on the course and the start/finish line. On the course, you would be a water stop volunteer or a course marshal. At the start/finish, you will be a food distribution volunteer and assist with gear check. As you can see, they really have a great variety of opportunities available.
