  • OSU Volunteers Needed

    Hello OSU Football Supporters!

Once again we will be working the OSU games this fall,  please take a moment to look at your schedules and see what games you would like to support (work) this season for us. We’ve already had a ton of our previous years’ volunteers sign up a bunch but we still have slots that need filled! I have listed below how many volunteers we have for each game. Having at least 8-10 per game is the most ideal. The dates that need the most support as of right now are in red.

Nov 1:                  Penn State – Currently have 10 volunteers (this is our maximum limit; can take no more volunteers on this date)

Nov 15:               UCLA – Currently have 3 volunteers

Nov 22:               Rutgers – Currently have 5 volunteers

We do not have start times yet; we’re at the mercy of the BIG10 for those kickoff times.  Start times range from 3 hours – 6 hours prior to the kickoff, depending on if it’s GAME DAY (Big 10, ESPN) event. End times usually within an hour after end of game or kick-off depending on the start time, weather, etc.

We have a lot of flexibility with being outside the stadium, we can stagger shifts on the long days, groups inside the stadium cannot do that, we don’t lose money when compared to the sales of those organizations working inside The Shoe.  A lot of time we have much shorter shifts.

I would like to encourage you to help us solicit volunteers for this upcoming season.  Volunteers need to be 16 years of age accompanied by an adult; volunteer hours can be provided for those needing it. We have 7 games and as some know these could be long hours for us and how many volunteers we will need.  We are contracted to have 6 people (bare minimum) at each event, this is not ideal we need at least 8 but no more than 10 at any given time.

If you have worked more than 2 games in the past and would be interested in being one of our point persons at the game, please let me know if interested.

Duties include: reimbursing the volunteers for parking and $20 to offset gas/food expenses, this includes having each volunteer provide you a copy of their parking receipt and sign they received the funds, and submitting the chapter form for reimbursement of those expenses.  You would also receive the prime parking spot the day of the event, that’s right! You get to park in the parking lot next to the Big Trailer.  You would also need to provide your phone number for Legends to send you the parking pass and for volunteers to reach you in the event they’re struggling to get there, find parking etc.

If you have questions or want to secure spot(s) early, please contact me.
